The humming birds have returned and are eagerly awaiting a meal. Tom replenishes their food daily to keep these young hummers happy. It is so amazing to us how these tiny, frail birds travel such a far distance during the winter and then return to the exact spot where the feeders are in the spring. There seem to be many young ones in the crew this year. At any given time we can have up to 15 birds around the feeders and several resting on the Cherry tree by the porch. What a gift of joy it is to be a caretaker for the earth and all her creatures.
