There are 7 sleeping rooms available: each has access to a bathroom either in the room or across the hallway.
Lower Level – Separate outside entrance
The lower level has 4 sleeping areas (Big Haw, Little Haw, Hawshaw, Garden), 3 bathrooms, a small sitting area and a large deck outside. It has a separate entrance and a separate drive. There is a beautiful garden and ramped walkway which connects the lower level with the upper level of Thistledown.

Big Haw is a perfect room for anyone who may desire handicapped accessible room/bathroom. It has two large windows: one overlooking the deck and field below and one which looks onto the garden. The rock fountain outside the window allows for a peaceful place to rest or read a good book. The room can be set up with two extra long twin beds or as one king. The room includes its own small refrigerator.

Little Haw is perfect for those who like a cozy room where they can sneak away and enjoy a good nap. There are two twin beds and a full bath with a shower in the room. It is just inside the downstairs area of the lower level.
Upstairs in the Lower Level
Hawshaw Room – $110/night plus tax (breakfast included)

Hawshaw is a favorite room with guests. It has ceiling to floor windows with views over the field and the garden. Often guests have eyed deer or turkeys grazing in the field at dawn. The room can be set up with two extra long twin beds or a king. The guests share a full bath with tub/shower across the hall.

The Garden room is a great room for those that like to curl up on a window seat and just enjoy the view or a good book. It has a double bed and shares a full bath across the hall.

Curtains rather than doors close off three of the rooms in the lower level. Please ask when making your reservation if you have questions about this.
Upper Level of Thistledown
3 bedrooms off large gathering room and 2 full baths
The upper level, has a large gathering room with 3 bedrooms (Sugar Maple, Wild Cherry and Chestnut Oak) adjacent to it. The staircase accessing this level is also equipped with a chair lift. A covered deck with an outdoor fireplace just off the gathering room is a perfect place for early morning quiet time as the sun rises and late night conversations around the fire. The large gathering room provides separate spaces for small groups to gather or room for a large group to meet. There are two sitting areas separated by a large dining table. On cold or rainy days, meals will be served in this area.

Sugar Maple is a room full of antiques right out of your grandma’s home. It is open to the kitchen below where the early morning smells of breakfast cooking arouse you from slumber. The large window provides a perfect view of the sun rising and warmth of the sun throughout the day. The room has a king bed a small sitting area and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub/shower.
Wild Cherry – $110/night plus tax (breakfast included)
Wild Cherry is a spacious room with two skylights that allow the sunlight to brighten the room and allow the moon and stars to be viewed at night. Breezes gently blow when the windows are open. There is one queen bed and a large desk for writing or working on projects. A full bath with a shower is across the gathering room. The shower has natural light and a tiled bench which allow guests to linger.
Chestnut Oak – $110/night plus tax (breakfast included)
Chestnut Oak is another beautiful room with a skylight which allows for sunlight and moon light to enter the room, if desired. With the windows open, a gentle breeze usually blows through the room creating a perfect environment for sleep. There is a queen size bed and a full bath with a shower across the gathering room . The shower has natural light and a tiled bench which allows guests to linger and relax while showering.
Weather
The weather in the mountains changes frequently. Please check out the weather at Rays weather before you visit to be sure you pack accordingly. We have cool nights and temperant days. It is always wise to bring a sweater and long pants for chilly evenings. Good sturdy shoes are a must for walking around the property.
